The Sex Talk On today’s issue of The Sex Talk, we shall sex can be defined as many different things instead of being intimate with a partner. It could revolve around sexual orientation, sexual relations, and different genders. Sexual orientation and influences PG.1 Sexual orientation is the sexual identity in relation to the gender, which he or she is attracted to. That comes into different categories such as heterosexual, homosexual, and bisexual. Social influences can play a major role in someone’s sexual orientation due to what they are taught or what they may experience as a child. There have been many assumptions that sexual orientation is biological, however there has been research supporting that genetics does play a part, but its nothing major. Gender is referred to what people are and what they want to be called. That could be male, female, transgender, or intersex. Sex is categorized as the biological differences such as sexual organs, hormones, and chromosomes. In todays society we are entitled to believe what we are and what we want to be because it is our right to be whatever we want. You could say that society leans towards being binary to determine who someone is by labeling them male or female. The idea that someone is living genderless is up to them. We have rights and if that person wants to genderless then so be it. This might challenge people and society because change is the hardest thing to comply with and not many people are okay with it. What might be the greater impact on society would be acceptance. If we could accept someone for what he or she is regardless of there sexual orientation or preference then we would live in a better
