Abstract This proposal is for the start of a therapy group encompassed around the teachings of Psychoeducational Shame Resilience for woman ages 18-99, experiencing difficulties within a high residential treatment facility. A goal of this group will be to provide therapy with the intention to work towards change in their understanding of Shame. This group will be a closed group, individuals will be referred to by a clinician. The individuals will work with their Clinicians, and make an appropriate plan of care based off of their current treatment needs. Referring Clinicians will be well versed in Shame Resilience Group to help ensure that the appropriate individuals are added to this group. This layout and quick run through will be done at staffing for anyone who is interested in referring their clients to the Shame Resilience Group, if a fellow counselor has not yet received training but would still like to refer, the two clinicians MUST meet to ensure that the client’s needs match the needs within the …show more content…
Termination will take place, on the last Tuesday of the 12-week Shame Resilience Session. During this time Evaluation Individuals will be asked to completely an evaluation submitted by the counselor. This evaluation will go over key points covered in the 12-week group. This evaluation will give the facilitating counselor a foundation to gauge the relatability, assistance, and structure that was laid out in group. The counselor will then make changes accordingly if a common theme is found. Environment The high-intensity treatment facility will provide the use of a room that is equipped with couches and adjustable lights. If adjustable lights are not an option, a lamb will be provided. It will be the counselor to adjust the room to its original state, after Shame Resilience group commends. Any outside materials needed will be provided by the facilitating counselor.
