In Shark Wars by EJ Altbacker Gray, a shark learns that the big blue is not as safe as he thought. In the beginning gray went past his reef to get something to eat even though his mother told him to never go past the reef. After Gray and Barkley were done eating they realize that they were lost. They chose a direction to swim and started swimming. They see two sharks in the distance and they swim to Gray and Barkley. The two sharks asked were they could find where some good fishing grounds were. Gray and Barkley swim back the opposite direction showing them were they had just ate. After that two sharks started to hunt for fish Barkley said he knew how to get home. When Gray and Barkley get back to the shiver his Mom asked him where they had gone and said that his actions are to erratic. Gray told her that they were getting some food. Grays mom admonished him and grounded him for a week. After Gray was punished the council of the reef had a meeting about if they should punish Gray further. After the meeting was over Grays mom told him that the council could not condone his behavior so they had banish you. …show more content…
Gray told him to go back to the reef but Barkley refused. After another day of swimming Gray sees four other sharks swimming toward them. Gray tells Barkley to get behind him in case the sharks wanted to fight. When the four sharks got to them they asked who Gray and Barkley were. After they introduced themselves they asked gray if we wanted to join their shiver. After Gray and Barkley joined them they when back to their shiver home waters. The next day when Gray and Barkley got back from hunting they see their shiver mates being attacked. Gray decides to rush one of the other sharks and ram them.
