Introduction
The moon landing was an exciting and phenomenal event, but a mars landing would be even more exciting for humanity. "In college, I wanted to be involved in things that would change the world. His father was an electromechanical engineer, and his mother was a dietician and model who was originally from Canada. He was the eldest in the family of three with his younger sister Tosca and brother Kimbal. He became a Canadian citizen in 1989 as part of his strategy to gain easy access to American citizenship. Finally, he achieved his goal in 2002 (The Biography.com, 2018). Elon Musk spent much of his childhood with his brother and sister. His parents divorced when he was ten. Later on, he joined the University of Pennsylvania in 1992 to study physics and business (The Biography.com, 2018). After graduating from University of Pennsylvania, he joined Stanford University to study for his doctorate in Applied Physics. This was the time of the internet boom. Elon Musk dropped out 2 days after starting and began his entrepreneurial venture, with his brother, under the Zip2 Corporation. In 1999 Zip2 was purchased at a net worth of $341 million USD by Compaq Computer Corporation (The Biography.com, 2018).
Life Accomplishments Leading to SpaceX
Elon Musk is a man with numerous accomplishments that I envy, and which have added up into the major successes of SpaceX. Perhaps his first success was the development of a basic video game code which he sold for an estimated $500 USD (Iliev, 2018). His education is also part of his major accomplishments, which have contributed to his success in the fields of business and technology. His major accomplishments in the business world started with the founding of Zip2, which he later sold for $305 million USD in 1999.
Elon Musk's second internet startup was an email payment and financial services company, X.com, which was later renamed PayPal in 2001. In 2002, PayPal was acquired by eBay for $1.5 billion USD. Elon Musk received $165 million USD of it.
