Simone Van Iderstine was 16 years old when she became pregnant with her first child, Eve MacKinnon. Eve was an accident, she was not supposed to be a result of what happened that night at the party. The first person she told when she found out she was pregnant was Jessica MacBeth. Simone then had to face what she would find the most stressful out of the whole pregnancy; telling her mother, Tanya O’Connor Flynn. Tanya was not very happy with that news.
People were more often- he searched for a smile, found one in his work- torches, blazing away until they whiffed out. How rarely did people's face take off you and throw back you your own expression, your own innermost trembling thought? (11). Explanation of quote. “‘Are you happy?’”
For another person, a “crooked smile” could be weight, height, or hair color. Anything that makes an individual feel insecure. Women especially voice these insecurities that are flaws by the public eye, when in fact they are what makes every woman unique in their own way. Uplifting lyrics, “I can tell you ain’t laughed in a while, but I wanna see that crooked smile” help embrace imperfections and let women know that its all right to smile about things. Every woman deserves pure happiness no matter what they do or do not
It was one of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance in it, that you may come across four
Not many achieve happiness in their lifetime. Either they do not live long enough to witness it or they are not prepared for what their happiness is. Happiness is very subjective. Each person’s version of happiness is different. This version of happiness is universal.
Humor is the ingredient that keeps it all moving, holds the bigger picture, inspires and brings a sense of gratitude for life. Aspiring to these qualities illuminates the lack of them at times. When I hit this kind of wall or low, I turn to the smile and humor to elevate my
Dental Hygiene Program Essay Introduction When you are young, you are asked: "what do you want to be when you grow up?" Most children would reply by saying a superhero, a professional basketball player, a model, etc. My response was always, someone who can make a difference in an individual's life. Finding out how I was going to do that exactly was challenging until I reached my junior year in high school.
The purpose of this essay is to pick apart Mill’s essay and to give my own personal opinion about happiness. Stuart believed that you could achieve happiness by helping others achieve happiness and by finding things that you enjoy in life. I believe the key to happiness is helping other people achieve their happiness, do things that you enjoy doing, and looking at things in the brightest way possible. I honestly believe that everyone wakes up in the morning wanting to be happy, I have never seen a person who wakes up saying, “ I want to have an absolutely miserable day today”. It is human nature to strive for happiness and do things that you enjoy to do.
I love to smile. And obviously, I think you could tell by that. But I like to make the interviewer just as at ease as I 'm trying to be. Because really this interview is a conversation that you 're going to have with this other person who is a human being. It can be a real ice breaker if you can just be relaxed and at

Happy people are more open and easier to approach in public. Additionally, as Susan David states, “In some cases, they even help broaden how we think and act by directing our attention to new information and opportunities” (David 124). By being happy, one is more likely to listen to other people to learn the way they think or feel about a certain thing. Someone is even more likely to accept what is said or even start to feel that way about that particular topic as well. Happiness has other benefits as well.
Optimism is hopefulness for the future, and, like me, most people get their optimism from their roots, or how they were brought up as a child. My parents would always remind me from a young age that being pessimistic will not help you achieve your goal, so you might as well be optimistic and try. They have always taught me from a young age, and never denied or doubted, that with optimism comes opportunity, and that optimism is, in fact, the key to success. Over the years, I’ve learned that the more optimistic you are, the more creative you can be. With optimistic attitude, one can generate new ideas and create possibilities to move forward faster and more efficiently than at normal times, due to an open mind.
