In the short story Feathers a woman said something that offended many people. I think that the theme of the story is to never say something bad about someone, rumors can spread very fast. Even if you don’t like the person, keep your comments to yourself. My first reason to support my theme is, when she through all the feathers around the yard they spread too fast and she couldn't get them all to bring back to the Rabbi. That evidence can represent how rumors that you said of someone can spread really fast. Next she has learned that all words can hurt someone's feelings.
