The Fellowship of the Ring is about a hobbit named Frodo Baggins. Frodo received the ring from Bilbo Baggins before he left the shire. Gandalf had told Frodo never to wear the ring nor to let it out of his sight. The ring held great power in it and if it fell into the wrong hands bad things would happen. Gandalf told Samwise to go with Frodo to take the ring to Rivendale. Before they left Gandalf also told them to meet him at the Prancing Pony in Bee. Gandalf went to see Saruman and tell him the news. Gandalf later learns that he has betrayed them and has went to the dark side. Frodo and Sam meet Merry and Pippin in a corn field. They both ask Frodo to join them on his journey. Frodo said yes and they went on. On their way to Bree they were chased by black riders (ring wraiths) that were once great kings. …show more content…
When they went into the prancing pony in Bree, there was no sign of Gandalf. Frodo accidently put the ring on his finger which the power attracted the wraiths. Strider who had been at the side quickly took the hobbits to safety away from the wraiths. They were able to escape Bree without being seen. They walked all the way to an old watch tower where Merry and pippin blew their cover. The black riders chased them to the top of the watch tower where one of them stabbed Frodo in the chest. They quickly set out trying to go find something to help Frodo. In the forest a she-elf took Frodo to her father to be cured. On their way the black riders caught up and they started fighting.
