The setting in “Saturday Climbing” helps illustrates the theme. The main theme in the short story “Saturday Climbing” is trust. Rock climbing is a very good setting for the theme because rock climbing requires a lot of trust in your partner. One must trust their partner to watch their back, and find the clear path.
