Everywhere around the world should give students the opportunity to go to college without having to pay for tuition. Only some people have the privilege of pursuing a college education. College tuition has risen an abundant amount over the past few years, and people have had more student debt now than ever before. We should change this and follow the path we want without having mountains of debt. Public college tuition should be free for all because it will lower the amount of student debt, and everyone will be able to get a college education. With tuition-free colleges, more people can afford college without increasing their debt. If college was free, people would be able to get better-paying jobs and buy things with the money they would have had to spend on college tuition. According to Source 1, “The beneficiaries of the free tuition contributed to the economy by buying cars and homes, and getting jobs after college, while not being burdened by college debt.” As you can see, students will have less debt if they didn’t have to pay for college.
