Everyone should have the opportunity to have a college experience if they want to. A lot of people say that free college is a dumb idea because it would flood the market; others think it's a good idea because more people would end up going to college since they don’t have to worry about financially paying for it. Education overall is important for the economy all together , having more people with good education would only improve it. Although college is a way to build a future and open doors and opportunities, the money it costs to attend universities limits those opportunities for those who can’t afford it. Many students around the world don't have enough money and that's why there is a large population of students who skip college and don't get a chance to get a degree. What a lot of people don’t realize is that all of the students who are crippled before graduating have a harder time finding stability out of college because they're buried under a lifetime's worth of student loan debt because they couldn’t afford it in the first place. The solution to this is simple, which is to make college tuition free despite the many people who believe college should be paid for. Furthermore , many students starting off in debt after college will definitely affect their lives and society in a negative way. But there are a few pros , having to worry about how much money is owed thinking of where and how to come up with it can teach students how to budget and manage there money outside of college. A quote from Students Debt states “the average student today graduates from college with 37,172 in student loan debt. Our total loan debt in this country is 1.48 trillion.” This proves that student loans cost way too much , causing so many students to be in debt. This much debt is almost a guarantee there paying it after college and could take years for them to fully pay them
