Introduction At any given time, we can never have a perfect solution to the challenges that we face. Ethical dilemma can be broadened into three categories: One of the circumstances is when you are required to settle for a decision with the best course of action, the other one is when there exists different course of action and the third situation is when irrespective of the measures considered, a measure of moral principle is duly compromised (Marshall & Rossman, 2014) Decisions on ethical dilemma take effect between considerations to ethics, moralities, rule and laws and approach. To what extent, if any, should Dr. Vaji consider Leo’s ethnicity in his deliberations? Would the dilemma be addressed differently if Leo self-identified as non-Hispanic White, Hispanic, on non-Hispanic Black? The following actions by Leo warrant Dr. Vaji deliberation on his ethnicity. In his class, Leo has assumed the role of a minority community representative to the point that he slums the chair and makes angry remarks on fellow classmates. Secondly, the local pub harassment of the African American waitress where he resorts to racial abuses making his case ethnic deliberations. By definition, Hispanic is considered an ethnicity, though it is given that Hispanics can be of any race. This makes standard categorization of Hispanic to be confusing or ambiguous. However, the ethical dilemma dynamics will greatly change Leo was identified s as Non-Hispanic, white or non-Hispanic black as most of his actions are based on his perception of his ethnic minority adolescents. In this case, Dr. Vaj acts as Leo’s supervisor and teacher for his Spring semester class. There are needs for Dr. Vaj to cooperate with other professionals that evaluate each student such co-operation must align to the provisions of ethical standard 3.09. Both ethical standards 7.04 and 7.05 guides student disclosure of personal information and mandatory individual therapy which makes its applicable for Leo to seek professional guidance (Fisher, 2013). The assigned-on site supervisor is under an obligation not reveal the details of student performance. Additionally, the university has official supervision organ for such extern courses.
