This woman is one of the people responsible for making drinking safer for the public. She thinks 18 years old is a good reasonable age for letting people choose whether or not they want to drink alcohol. These unsafe habits can cause people to develop an unhealthy lifestyle of binge drinking all night. Making poor decisions all night and then blacking out in, sometimes, dangerous places.Then waking up with a hangover and some people with drink to stop the hangover only destroying their liver even more(Tucker). 90% of alcohol consumption of people between the ages of 18-20 involve binge drinking behavior(Lowering). Which is a very dangerous way of drinking because when you binge drink you drink mass quantities of alcohol in a small amount of time. This will overload your liver can cause you to blackout, vomit excessively, and in extreme cases can cause liver failure and eventually death. There is a simple way of fixing this problem with the youth today. This easy fix is legalizing 18 year olds to drink alcohol and bring drinking out downstair basements and house parties. Bringing it to clubs and bars where there drinking can monitored by people with responsibility(Giaimo). This would end the abusive drinking habits and this will then lead to less sexual crimes, theft, and drunk driving.
