Should the driving age be raised
The debate on whether to raise the legal driving age from 16 to 18 has been ongoing for years. While proponents of this idea argue that it will reduce accidents and fatalities among young drivers, there are several reasons why the driving age should not be raised.

Driving is often seen as a rite of passage into adulthood and a symbol of independence. By raising the driving age, we would be rejecting young people the opportunity to learn and experience this important life skill. Driving is a necessary life skill that teenagers should learn. Stopping the legal driving age will only postpone this learning process, and many young adults will struggle to learn this skill later in life.
Third, When raising the driving age people may get angry and start protesting. Some people think that we should raise the driving age because it would lead to better causes. But raising the driving age will negatively affect the economy. The driving age affects several industries, including car manufacturers, car dealerships, driving schools, and automotive insurance. These industries will suffer from a decline in revenue.
Fourth, raising the driving age is not a fair solution to the problem of accidents caused by young drivers. Many young drivers are responsible and cautious on the road, and they should not be punished for the mistakes of a few. Instead, authorities should focus on identifying and addressing the specific causes of accidents involving young drivers. It may be difficult for some families to arrange transportation if their teenagers cannot
