Should proficient girls be allowed to play on a boy’s team? The nineteenth amendment to the U.S constitution gave women the right to vote just like men, but is it fair to deny the right for girls to play on the same sports team as boys after the women’s rights movement? I truly believe that skilled girls should be allowed to play on the same sports teams as boys. Boys and girls are both human. So what makes them so different that they cannot play together? While it is true that boys overall have more upper body strength than girls, but they can go so far with just enough spirit and determination to play and compete with boys in sports teams. According to Time Magazine, about 90% of all girls who are beginning to play on boys’ team have high confidence in themselves and are eager to learn new skills not taught in a girls’ team. This level of courage and perseverance is crucial to the success of a sports team overall.
