Should students tutor their peers? Children become better learners when peer teaching is available because students can ask their peers for help when they don’t understand something. Peer teaching promotes academic acceleration. The education of a student is an extremely important thing. Students can grow up to be great people with amazing careers if they put forth effort in their education. Peer teaching helps with making students more eager to participate in learning activities. As children get older, they remember many things from their childhood. So whatever they learn now will hopefully stay with them for the rest of their lifetime. Being able to teach other students an academic subject means the teacher has entrusted the student to teach and help their peers when they’re struggling. Students are more lively and cheerful when peer teaching is more commonly occurring (Creative Activities and Curriculum for Young Children). When students are more involved with their academics, they are more cheerful and happy. It gives the children something to look forward to. Students learn at different rates, so when peer teaching takes place, they can help each other understand what they are teaching and learning better than before. Students are also more productive when they have less distractions and more reminders to keep them focused on their work. Students are more productive when they work together because they can bounce their ideas off of each other and compare ideas and thoughts.
