Illegal immigrants are going over boarders daily and want to make a living outside their own countries. We must decide if it would be the best for our country to give them the right to apply and go for valid driver’s licenses. Should illegal immigrants be allowed to get driver licenses? I've noticed the worn out, tired statement that the legal people are lazy and illegals do the jobs the legal people don't want to do. This is valid to a small degree. Illegal immigrants ‘steal’ jobs from skilled, quality workers. Not because legal people don’t want to work, but because they cannot financially compete with people who can afford to work for low-income because often times they have more than one family dividing the expenses of one household. …show more content…
It sure seems to me that the immigrants from other countries want nothing to do with being a Legal person, it seems as though they want to come to this country and push it to change to their ways. They want to benefit from the society our predecessors built but don’t want to do anything to be part of the society legally, then why should they deserve a driver’s license? Illegal immigrants don't pay taxes. Does this mean they must have the same privileges as normal citizens, but without paying taxes? Insurance will be a problem... especially if they get in a car accident. They have then no identification or insurance to cover any damages. Equal rights to people who are not paying their share isn’t fair. Most illegals are not English speaking and therefore cannot take a test or read road signs. If illegals enter the country illegally, they should be deported as they have now committed a crime. ‘Illegal’ means you are breaking the law; this should be the first law that is enforced from the beginning. We do the right thing and support our own criminals in our prisons. You have to draw the line somewhere. They are not supposed to be here in the first place illegally. Then they will bring their relatives and expect the same thing. Illegal immigrants should not be able to get a driver's licenses in any county that is not their
