An illegal immigrant, who works for their keep, pays taxes, doesn't get into trouble, and just wants a better life in a country, should be granted citizenship. An illegal immigrant is a person who migrates to a different country in a way that is in violation of the immigrant laws. Immigration has been a tough topic to bring up for many years in America. Illegal immigrants are seen as a bad thing for America, but some see them as an economic savior. There are over 11 million undocumented immigrants in the United States. Many Americans have mixed views about citizenship for these people. Illegal immigrants should be granted citizenship based on how the person is doing. If they are causing trouble they don't need to be here. If they are working trying to get a check to provide for their family then why not keep them here. It could also help decrease the amount of debt America is in because of the increased tax returns. What harm could it do to allow them to stay if they aren't causing trouble? None! America is stuck up in their ways and we don't like outsiders. Maybe if we kept the good and put out the bad it would help us out and people wouldn't have a such a problem with immigrints. A lot of people have only heard of the bad immigrants that bring drugs to america and kill people on a daily giving immigrants a bad reputation. They haven't seen the hard working immigrants that are just trying to provide for their families. I'm not saying let all immigrants in because it should be restricted and watched.
