Night Multigenre Project It’s important for us not to let the atrocities from the Holocaust slip from our memory because it has taught us valuable life lessons. Over 8 million people lost their lives between 1941-1945. That’s equivalent to the whole country of Portugal. The horrid tests, examinations, and torturing of innocent individuals surely deserves a spot in history. The book Night, by Elie Wiesel emphasizes the terrible incidents that occurred throughout the Holocaust.
Elie Wiesel’s Night should not be banned from the book list for ninth grade because it is a book that teaches very important lessons despite the fact that it contains violent scenes. The book shows that we should treat people in a good way even if they are not like us. It reveals the horrible consequences of inhumanity, the meaningless suffering and unbearable pain of innocent people. These reasons show that the book is very important for the grown-ups because it deals with fundamental questions about humanity and moral values.

I think Night should stay on Mrs. Avila’s book report list because this is a book that more students need to read because Elie Wiesel and other holocaust survivor’s stories should be remembered so history won’t repeat itself. I didn’t like that Night left me with many questions, like did Eliezer ever completely restore his faith in God, what happened to his leg after undergoing an operation, why wasn’t his sisters and mother mentioned ever again, I also wanted to know if Eliezer ever has a bright light in the future. If you believe the world is all sunshine’s and rainbows, your whole view on life is about to change. Night opened my eyes, the world is not perfect. There is evil people in this world.
The book night is crittically acclaimed due to its easy to understand storyline , and well known topic. The holocoust was a topic that needed to be written on and who else was better to do it than Elie wiesel. He already was a great writer due to his religious studys as a child. His suffering from the holocoust fueled him to create a book and create it well. He needed to tell the world his story and tell the world about the gross injustice of the holocost.
Dear school board, I believe night should not be banned because it is a true story about a boy going through things we could never imagine. We need to know about things like that because that is history and we need to know the history or we would all be walking around clueless knowing nothing. The holocaust is a big topic and shouldn't be banned at all. We cannot ban Night By Elie Wiesel because you have to understand the author's point of view and the character's point of view.

The first amendment states that we the people have “Freedom of religion, speech, press, petition, and assembly.” By denying us as students the right to read Night by Elie Wisel you are infringing on our right to speech and press. The entire reasoning for us, people of the united states of america, to have in print that we can say our mind and write whatever we desire is because of the control of the British, who killed anyone who said something that they didn’t agree with. In regards to the events that took place, it has been said that Jews were getting deported to a concentration camp run by Germans and in those camps, very horrifying things happened which resulted in the death of many Jews and psychological trauma for those who made it out. It is a common assumption among numerous people in the world that the Holocaust never existed. In fact, almost fifty percent of the world population never even heard of the Holocaust. Elie Wiesel helped people around the world learn about the Holocaust through his book “Night.” He wanted people to see the bravery, courage, and guilt of the Jews through his book. “Night” shows the horrific and malicious acts in the German concentration camps during the Holocaust.
One of Wiesel 's strengths in Night is to show the full face of dehumanization. It is something that the Nazis perpetrated against the people they imprisoned. The tattooing of numbers on the prisoners, something that Eleizer notes, is of extreme importance. A- 7713 is by definition an example of dehumanization because it robs the humanity of the individual. The abuses that the Nazis perpetrate on their prisoners is another example of dehumanization.
