Each of us would like to achieve the best in the things we are good at. Mostly the path to success is long and tough, but sometimes there are shortcuts. The products on the market nowadays encourage us to consume performance-enhancing supplements, even though we are not sure what the ingredients are and what effects they might have on our body. About 50% of all recently surveyed Olympic athletes admitted they would be willing to consume a drug, knowing it would kill them eventually, as long as it would let them win every event they entered five years in a row. This shows how athletes feel coerced to use substances just to remain on par with other athletes. There is no argument to support that performance-enhancing drugs are unfair. If it were, they would have to ban coaching and training too, because the access to particular enhancements can be achieved better by deregulation than by prohibition. Even though there are no arguments that prove that drugs are unfair, the competitors still take those drugs for a reason, which is to gain an advantage. If they consume this drug and start to increase their dosage, it might become an even greater health hazard. This is a deliberate action to gain an unfair advantage to the other athletes which do not use any drugs.
