Being a teenager is hard enough with having to get up at six in the morning to go to school. Not just because it’s difficult to get out of bed in the morning or teens are just lazy and don’t want to go to school, it’s so much more than that. I’m going to talk about why schools should start later in the morning, in order to avoid other things that can happen to your body when not getting the needed eight to ten hours of sleep at night recommended for teenagers. I also want to point out that teenager cant just “go to bed earlier” as many adults would say, most teenagers cant help that they stay up late and its not there faults, “As children approach and go through puberty, their brains begin producing the sleep-inducing hormone melatonin on a delayed schedule, making it difficult for them to feel tired before 11pm”(Macmillan).
