Are Cameras Really Making Stores Safer?
How do you feel about people being in your business? Does it annoy you? Well, that’s exactly what stores have been doing.
In the article “Should Stores Be Allowed to Spy on you?” By Joshua Peters. It explains how many stores have been spying on their customers using phone tracking. This allows many stores to collect data on you to try to make you buy more things. Some people say that the data is harmless but most people say otherwise.
I think that stores should not be allowed to spy on you because they are just trying to manipulate you into buying more products. Second people don’t like it and are upset. And third people are worried that their data is going to be stolen or sold.

My final reason why I believe stores should not be allowed to spy on you is people are worried about their data. “Many are worried that stores would not keep the information private, that it could be stolen or sold.” (Peters 22). This shows that people are scared and that they don’t appreciate that their data could be made non-private.
Some people might say that it’s not a big deal that store owners are just trying to become more successful by collecting data. But it’s not part of their business to collect our personal data. It doesn’t matter if it makes them more successful. It’s not right for them to be in our business no matter
