SHOULD STUDENTS BE ABLE TO LISTEN TO MP3 PLAYERS ON HEADPHONES DURING STUDY HALL?
During study hall, Tim was working on his statistics take home quiz. He was having a hard time focusing on his task. Not only it was loud in the study hall but he was also busy talking to his friends. He suddenly remembered that the quiz was due the following day and had to focus on his quiz. He took out his MP3 player and a set of headphones; he started listening to it and working on his quiz. he started doing his work with no distraction all the other sounds were locked out by the music he was listening to.
Even though Some students find listening to their MP3 player during study hall distracting , for some others, it helps them focus on their own thoughts because an MP3 player could also serve as a tool for learning, and it is used to help students with ADD/ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder/Attention Deficit Hyperactivity disorder). …show more content…
