According to a study in 2005 on humankinetics.com, 54% of kids start a least one sport between the ages of 6 and 7. For obvious reasons 6th-grade, students should be able to start school sports in public schools. One reason 6th graders should be able to play sport at public schools because it is a good way for them to exercise if they don’t play a club sport. They will learn good sportsmanship. If students start early they will have a lot of talent to start in middle school and make a really great team or player. Students should be able to start public school sports in 6th grade for many reasons. Not all 6th graders get enough exercise, but if they can start sports in middle school they will have something to do after school that will give them good exercise. Having good sportsmanship won’t only help in sports, but it will help in school or in the real world. When kids turn into adults or even when they are teens they will know how to handle different things better. If they ever have a job interview and they don’t get the job they won’t get mad. That will make them look more mature. Having good sportsmanship can also make the students learn self-control. Self-control can improve their focus. That will help them do better in school, in life, and in any sport they play. All that could happen from having self-control was caused by having good sportsmanship. Finally, having good sportsmanship leads to having better communication. If there is a problem with a coach, parent, or a teacher the students with be able to have good communication and be able to look eye to eye and tell them what is wrong.
