Teachers carrying licensed firearms to school Throughout the issues of gun control, gun control has been a wide spread concern for many people. The concerns for arming teachers with fire arms or limiting the mass production of fire arms and ammunition has always surfaced in the public for avoiding more mass shootings. Most states in America has proposed a law in which teachers should be allowed to carry concealed weapons in classrooms. People in a handful of states strongly believe that to fight school shootings, some teachers should be armed and undergo many strict regulations and fire arm training. States like Colorado pushes for concealed guns in K-12 schools and “Proponents of the legislation say it will improve safety in the country’s schools”. (Staver) Schools in the United States are proposing a law in which teachers should be allowed to bring their own concealed carry fire arms to school campuses. Neville, the Colorado state representative, says many of Columbine’s teachers and faculty acted heroically and tried to fight off the hostiles. But Neville quoted “I truly believe that had some of them had the legal authority to be armed, more of my friends might be with me today”. People like Russ Moore, a school principle and an avid gun owner, suggest that proposing a law that allows teachers to carry a gun around school will not just cause concerns but more mishaps because of the lack of training. This approach would require to place guns in each school is the bill was passed also-guns that will be used inappropriately. For a gun that needs to be accessible, this means that guns in school will be accessible in each room in a school campus.
