TwentyEighteen has been a growth of many things in today's society. However, technology has become one of the most common distractions in today's generation. Older generations were home to nature and the national parks. As life went on, technology has progressed leaving newer generations mesmerized. Today, the outdoors has become outdated leaving newer generation not wanting to attend the parks. Instead of experiencing most events first hand, most would rather play it as a video game. To get newer generations interested, I believe the National Park Services would have to become aware of things that interest the newer generation. Jonathan Jarvis states, “There are times when its seems as if the national parks have never been more passe than in the age of the Iphone”. This is relevant because today's kids will much rather be on their phones than stepping outside. Most people are not coming to the parks because nothing is interesting them to go. To spark the country’s youth, changes will have to be made. Such as encountering a game into the national park would encourage more of the newer generations to become interested.
