I do believe the Outer Space Treaty (OST) of 1967 has seen its time and is due for a revision. This is because of outdated Articles like Article 1. This article goes directly against the current U.S. Space Policy by not allowing the private companies to exploit space for valuable resources for profit. It is no wonder why it has been difficult to gain popularity within the private space industry with outdated documents like this.
