“To Compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical”- Thomas Jefferson This quote is basically saying, why take our tax payer dollar and fill our heads with things we disagree with. Even in the early years of America people have had issues with the media.They had problems with journalist favoring the federalist. They had trouble with journalist and newspaper’s favoring white rich men. In todays society we still have that problem.Even though it was a long time ago we still face some of the same issues that the early American faced. The fact is you probably just said no right. Well your not alone researchers said that over 60% of Americans do not trust the media.The reason they feel this way is beach the feel their not “Fully accurate or fair.” Only 40% of Americans say they feel they can trust the media. Even with the 44% they don’t believe word for word what the media says but overall they believe them. Then 44% of people say they feel the media is way to liberal. Some good some bad no matter what it has an effect on us. The media has shaped every single one of us. Now whether they changed our point of view on something or pursued us to do or get something.In todays world people rely on the media. The media effects our decisions and how we see things.In some cases it helps us but in others it doesn’t . The media especially effects us younger people.
