These successful businessmen also stole each other's businesses. Rockefeller purchased a steel mine out from under Andrew Carnegie, the leader in steel. John P. Morgan purchased Carnegie's business completely for four hundred eighty million dollars in 1901, changing the name to U.S. Steel. The men who built America used their mass amounts of money to get what they wanted done, done. For
The best way to answer any question is to be clear about what is being asked and to look only for the facts of that question. We are not being asked whether Joseph Stalin was a good person. The question is, what are the accomplishments of Joseph Stalin that improved his country and made it great? From this point, we can clearly identify what he did, as seen in the articles. Was Stalin beneficial to the USSR?
The resultant is a nearly pure ingot of silver. Silver refineries carried a high environmental cost because of deforestation, overgrazing and erosion from the tens of thousands of animals, and poisoning of the

Rockefeller sold the Mountain Iron Mine from Minnesota to Carnegie. It was nearby the Mesabi Range and the Vermillion Range, which both had tons of iron ore deposits and led Carnegie to have the nation’s largest producer of iron ore and the United States to lead the world in steel production, and it was right under his fingertips. Also, Carnegie returned some of his fortune from it to the communities by funding 2,500 public Carnegie Libraries across the country, including 64 in rural Minnesota. I found it in a way, that this steel business was utterly tiring for Carnegie. At just sixty-six years old, he found himself considering in retirement.
That water can also be the water that people drink; there were tons of chemicals in it and for people to drink it would be deadly. “In In the Encarta’s artist rendition of the early industrial plant air and water pollution are a key factor, however that factory is in the middle of a town; the noise ‘pollution’ fills the air and can annoy the residents” (Document 3). That factory was placed right in the middle of a town. The noise from all of those machines could keep workers awake at night and then they won’t have as much energy for the next day at work. Not only does pollution hurt people, but poor living conditions and working conditions also damage them just as
Bill McKibben and Derrick Jensen were born in 1960 in the U.S.A., and both have accomplished successful academic backgrounds. McKibben graduated from Harvard University in 1982, and Derrick Jensen graduated from the Colorado School of Mines with a degree in Mineral engineering in 1983. Both are environmental activists and have written many articles and books. Two of their articles “Waste Not, Want Not” by Bill McKibben and “Forget Shorter Showers” by Jensen are published in the Bedford Reader book (557-567). When we analyze these articles both authors agree on consumers contribution to environmental pollution, but they have different points of views concerning whether individuals or industrialists cause more environmental pollution.
The book Animal Farm is an allegory which corresponds to the Russian Revolution. In the book, the animals take over the farm and run the humans off of the property. The Russian Revolution had much in common with this but also has its differences.
One of Orwell 's goals in writing Animal Farm was to portray the Russian (or Bolshevik) Revolution of 1917 as one that resulted in a government more oppressive, totalitarian, and deadly than the one it overthrew. Many of the characters and events of Orwell 's novel parallel those of the Russian Revolution: In short, Manor Farm is a model of Russia, and old Major, Snowball, and Napoleon represent the dominant figures of the Russian Revolution. Mr. Jones is modeled on Tsar Nicholas II (1868-1918), the last Russian emperor. His rule (1894-1917) was marked by his insistence that he was the uncontestable ruler of the nation. During his reign, the Russian people experienced terrible poverty and upheaval, marked by the Bloody Sunday massacre in 1905 when unarmed protesters demanding social reforms were shot down by the army near Nicholas ' palace.

When coal and other minerals were extracted from underground, they emited several metal waste which was harmful for the water. It is evident that the Indutrial Revolution caused a lot of evnviromental problems for individuals. The mine wastes were deposited along the 620 stretch of the river, leading to great loss of animal life and vegetation. The pollution is regarded as the most destructive environmental disaster. The main type of depletion at the mine is the loss of minerals and other natural resources such as vegetation. Compare and contrast the views of (a) an ecological ethic, (b) Blackstone's ethic of environmental rights, and (c) a utilitarian ethic of pollution control.
