We want to protect the wild places on Earth by bringing awareness to the problems of climate change and the exceptional levels of pollution. We want to raise awareness by educating and enlisting people to restore the quality of the natural and human environment. We promote a responsible use of Earth's ecosystems and resources. The Sierra Club plans to accomplish this by securing protections for parks and monuments. We will improve the air quality by closing coal plants and replacing them with clean energy. Sierra Club also uses the money for other important things such as spending $13,358 on communications needs, and $65,590 on independent expenditures such as paying for the protection of nature. Sierra Club is involved in the international Glasgow Climate Pact. The Glasgow Climate Pact addresses the climate issues that the EPA, the Sierra Club, as well as over 200 other countries, find important to steer in the right direction. The money that gets put into the Glasgow Climate Pact goes exclusively to lower the average temperature of the earth's atmosphere and reduce greenhouse gases. The Sierra Club participates in the Iron Triangle (Congress, interest groups, and the bureaucracy) by providing votes to certain members of Congress if they provide favorable legislation.
