Dali was born on May 11, 1904 in Figueres, Spain. His father was a strict man, but his mother often indulged him to art and early eccentricities. Dali and father didn’t uphold a good relationship like father and son. Dali is considered to be among one of the amazing painters in the world. He is also known for his surrealist style. His paintings were not only marked for his childhood, but also by Sigmund Freud’s theories. Freud has influenced Salvador’s paintings and his interpretations in so many ways.
Freud was, an Austrian neurologist, born in May 8, 1856. A psychology’ most famous figure is also one of the most influential and controversial thinker of the twentieth century. Freud Sigmund’s works and theories helped shaped many of the artist, painters, and psychologist’s view of childhood, personality, memory, sexuality and therapy (Cherry). With Dali’s quotes, his own ideas, it is certain that his main goal as an artist was influenced by Freud Sigmund’s ideas (Prado).
Each of his painting was the cause of what happened to him during his whole life. Whether it was because of his parents, brother, wife etc. All of them plays a huge role in his paintings. He is known as a surrealist artist because of his provocative and original style. Although, being greatly influenced by Freud Sigmund psychoanalytic, he had his own original and unique way of painting and representing art (Prado).
