The Significant Leaders of the Gupta Empire are Chandragupta I, Samudragupta and Chandragupta II. Chandragupta I built a strong army and encouraged metallurgy since it would make their defense and expansion of the empire much more efficient. Samudragupta extended the empire exponentially and ruthlessly while he also encouraged the arts and took aspects of the regions he conquered and applied it to the empire’s art.
