What are the similarities and differences between the video and the play A Christmas Carol. There are lots of differences between them. In the play Jacob Marley narrates, but in the video no one narrates it. The play is narrated by Jacob Marley, Scrooge’s dead partner, who is a ghost. In the play Scrooge is visited by the ghosts of christmas past, present, and future. They visit him to help Ebenezer Scrooge become a good man instead of being a greedy and selfish person. When Scrooge gets visited by the ghost of christmas past they visit Scrooge’s past when he was once a good man. Young Ebenezer Scrooge was rejected by his father because his mother died because of him. When Scrooge was young he was not selfish. Dick: “

Ebenezer Scrooge is a man who collects taxes. He is a greedy man who doesn’t even pay his co-worker barely enough money. He is visited by three ghosts: the ghost of Christmas Past ( a woman), the ghost of christmas present ( a man ), and the ghost of christmas future. They visit Scrooge to help him change, and become a good man. When Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by the Ghost of Christmas Past they go back in time to the school Ebenezer Scrooge went to. They went there to show Scrooge that he once was a good person, but he was rejected by his father. His father forgave him. Then they went forward in time to when Scrooge became a businessman, and when the person Scrooge liked broke up with him because Ebenezer was always late. That is when Ebenezer started to become a bad person. When Scrooge get visited by the Ghost of Christmas Present they go to see what is happening to others, like his co-worker Bob Cratchit, his nephew, and poor people who have no jobs and sometimes have to steal food in order to provide for their family. When Scrooge sees his co-worker Bob Cratchit’s house he find out that even though they might have little money they are still happy. When he visits his nephew's house he sees that he was mean to them, and when he visited poor people he found out that they sometimes had to steal things because they couldn’t get jobs.
