Overtime, gangs have fought for several reasons even though they hsve similarities inbetween their differences. SE Hilton’s book The Outsiders had two rival gangs that fought endlessly because of their differences. Both groups are very different, their differences causing a divide between them. The groups both have different situations. Socs and Greasers are alike in hteir behavior, personality, and more. First, the protagonists belong to the Greasers, the group residing in the East. They have greased hair and wear leather jackets. This symbolizes their rebellious ways and lack of money. Next, their characteristcs are loyalty and willingness to help each other. This is shown through the characters Darry and Sodapop keeping their door unlovked
