In the novels 1984 by George Orwell, Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, and The Lord of the Flies by William Golding the main characters of these novels live in a time where they have to overcome a struggle. These books are all set in a dystopian reality in the future or a different time period. The struggle in all three of these novels are that they have to fight for whats right. In these novels they all have a fictional plots but in their times were relevant to what the future would be like. These were the possibilities of what the future had in hold because time changes and society and laws change.

This novel was a dystopian based on what an alternate future would be like. The plot of this book is the main character, Guy Montag is a fireman with a twist. In this novel firemen do not put out the fires instead they start them. They are in charge of burning all books that exist. This main character does not know what information the books hold and does not really care at the beginning. Then one day he meets his neighbor Clarisse who makes him start to question his job. He wonders why there are so many people willing to sacrifice themselves to save books. He then starts to steal books on his missions and hide them. He then reads them to find the answers to his problems. His boss Beatty then goes to his house to visit him after he does not go to work. Beatty then explained why books were banned and tells Guy that he has 24 hours to return the books and see if they have anything interesting in them. He then tells his wife about the books since he wants her to help him read them so he can understand the books. He then visits Faber who a long time ago was an English teacher. Guy believes that Faber can help him understand his books. He does agree to help Guy and they make a plan. Later he turns in one of his books to Beatty and believes the books should be burned. When Guy is home he receives an alarm and discovers that his wife, Mildred betrayed him. He then has to burn his own house and as he’s getting arrested he sets
