In “‘Now the Writing Starts’: An Interview with Adonis”, Adonis’s views about intellectuals are similar to that of Ray Bradbury in Fahrenheit 451. Adonis and Ray Bradbury both voice their concerns about the lack of intellectual people who fight for what’s right. In Bradbury’s novel, he depicts this message through the character Faber, an old professor. Faber, along with other intellectuals, became so JAUNDICED that he was too afraid to rebel during the start of the censorship of books and just let it happen.
