Christopher Wallace also known as ‘Biggie Smalls’ or ‘the Notorious B.I.G’ and Tupac Shakur, were two young, aspiring rappers who were climbing the charts quickly and riding a wave of success. During their careers, both managed to peak as high as number two on the billboard hits after the release of their first albums. Yachty): They went from rapping on the street corner, to sold-out shows all across America. Until Christopher Wallace better known as ‘Biggie Smalls’ and Tupac Shakur were shot dead within a few months of each other. Strangely, no one was convicted for these murders.
20 years ago whilst leaving a Mike Tyson fight night, Shakur was shot multiple times from a vehicle which had pulled up beside him at a traffic light on the 30th of September 1996. Shakur died a week later. Six months later, as Wallace was leaving a ‘Soul Train Awards ‘after party, he was stopped too, at a traffic light. Similar to Shakur’s attack, Biggie was shot and killed by a car which pulled up beside him on the 9th of March 97.
The two deaths were never linked, until a conspiracy theory was formed by the close friends and family of the two artists. Suge Knight who was the former CEO and founder of Death Row Records, which Shakur was signed to, was suspected of orchestrating the murders of the men. Recently Knight was sentenced for the investigation has been reopened, and in the past week irrefutable evidence has shown that Knight was, in fact, responsible for the murders of Biggie Smalls and Tupac Shakur.
