Self-discovery is a personal journey where individuals explore their emotions, values, and innermost thoughts. It involves questioning societal norms, facing many hardships, and gaining a deeper understanding of oneself. The novel Classroom of the Elite by Syougo Kinugasa and the film Your Name directed by Makoto Shinkai are about personal transformation and reveals that overcoming hardships results in self-discovery. The author Syougo Kinugasa uses descriptive language to create an image of the cold atmosphere within the school which emphasizes the strict societal expectations and the true nature of the school.
