“The Enuma elish” and “Osiris, Isis, and Horus” are both similar and very different from each other. One had to take, from the way it was told, years to complete. While the other just to seemed to be dealt with right then and there. But they do have their similarities they share is how much water is an important, for instance when Marduk goes to fight Tiamat, most of his powers describe has damaging winds that help create a “hurricane” and a “cyclone”. After Marduk is born Tiamat starts a revaluation creating monsters to defeat the gods. Ea takes one look at Tiamat’s army and decides that his magic can’t defeat her army and gives up , but Marduk decides he can defeat her and is given gifts in order to defeat her. Witch I find interesting on how similar it is to Greek mythology when Zeus fight his father to free his brother and sister; as well as defeating Gaea’s monster Typhon when it attack Olympus. While Isis has to go find her husband Osiris due to tricked by Set into a coffin. By the time Isis finds Osiris, he is dead from suffocation. Isis hides in exile in order to keep Horus safe so that one day he can take on Set. During exile Set spreads Osiris body in pieces, Isis and Horus with the help of Nephthys find Osiris body. When the last piece is found they travel to the underworld to bring Osiris back to life. Horus fights and defeats set, but Isis stops Horus from killing Set because she feels sorry for him. I find this interesting because while Marduk kills Tiamat, Isis shows mercy towards Set even though he killed and mutilated his body to get the throne. This shows how human Egyptian gods are portrayed compared to The Enuma
