FWOOSH that is the sound of a flamethrower and guess what it just burned, all the books you own and you are know a fugitive of the law, what a great way to spend the rest of your life. Today I’m going to be talking about the similarities to our society and the society of Fahrenheit 451 and they are more alike than you would think. For example their world deals with the problem of people burning books and houses we did the same thing. This means that we are just like them in the fact that we have burned books and even people on occasion. We also have some advanced technology just like theirs. Books being burnt were sprinkled all throughout history. In the times of ancient china book burning was a common things emperors did if certain books disagreed with or talked bad about the religion that the emperor was trying to enforce. It was not such a strange thing to burn them in the middle of streets this action was done mostly by the Chinese emperor Qin Shi Huang.
