An example of a modern piece of literature that shares similar themes is “The Hunger Games” created by Suzanne Collins. Fahrenheit 451 and The Huger Games both included themes of free thought and ideas of how controlling the government may be. Katniss Everdeen, the main character of The Hunger Games, fights against the government and gives hope to the citizens within the society. Guy Montage, the main character in Fahrenheit 451, also fights against the government over the censorship of books. These characters are both are battling for what they believe is right.
