They did not have any questions and some were on their cell phone and not watching the video. Then at 11am and 1pm, the Puberty video was shown separately to the girls and then to the boys. While watching the video with the boys, I was sitting on the back of the auditorium and just observing the boy’s reaction. I noticed that the boys started whispering to each other, laughing quietly when the section of the video was about growing hair on different parts of the body, and about the male private parts.
Within her writing she states, “Tell him that who is authentically is not enough; tell him that he will not be loved unless he abandons his own desires and picks up a tool of competition; tell him that to really be of value he must stand ready to compete, dominate, and, if necessary, kill, if not actually then virtually, financially, athletically.” She is expressing how sports and videogames are motivating young boys to kill and fight. This tone in her writing seems unreasonable and based

Title: The Friendship 9: A Symbol of Courage and Unity in the Civil Rights Movement Introduction The Civil Rights Movement in the United States was a period of struggle for social justice and equal rights, particularly for African Americans who faced systematic discrimination and segregation. In the 1960s, a group of young black students in Rock Hill, South Carolina, stood up against the unjust Jim Crow laws by engaging in a peaceful sit-in protest at a whites-only lunch counter. Their actions, known as the Friendship 9, became a pivotal moment in the Civil Rights Movement and exemplified the courage, determination, and unity of those who fought for freedom and equality.
The first paragraph talks about how jobs are different and similar in our community than in the community. The second paragraph talks all about the similarities of birthdays in both communities. Also, what responsibilities are taken off of the group of kids and what responsibilities are gained throughout the rest of their lives. The third and final paragraph talks all about how families are treated and live in our community and in their community. My final thoughts on these two very different societies and their similarities is that their society is unfair in my opinion.

As a child growing up in an Asian household, I quickly became aware of how different my parents’ style of teaching was when compared to my other friends in elementary school. I remember feeling very surprised to hear how lenient most of my friend’s families were. I could never dream of even asking my parents at that age if I was allowed to stay over at a friend’s house. Everything, for me, revolved around doing chores and getting good grades. It was also strange for me to see how close and warm my friends’ families were together; where there were dedicated nights for board games or nights where they would watch TV together.
As you can tell from the videos, without knowing anything at the beginning, it is impossible to understand what other cultures are, but I also felt that it is also impractical to overcome all of these 6 stumbling blocks of intercultural communication. For example, if you don’t assume something, you become anxious and that navigates us to another issue that she mentioned, which was stress. The misinterpretations of nonverbal communication are something that is linked with assumption. All of these issues are big issues that prevent us from communicating fully. However I believe there is something more important to us, for example like how fully interested we are in cultures, how optimistic we are to this subject, how much we realize that there are ubiquitous cultural conflicts to cultures in the world.
What do you think the meaning of true friendship is, maybe it 's knowing that you trust a certain person with any secret or physical object, somebody who would take a bullet for you, or maybe it 's somebody that you 've grown up with all your life. Everybody has their own definition of ¨true friendship.¨ I personally believe that true friendship is when two people can trust each other with just about anything, they let you succeed and fail on your own, but they always help you when it is most important. I dislike it when people say a true friend doesn 't ¨snitch¨ or lets you copy off their paper for test or more important assignment. This shows that they don 't see the other person as a friend, and more as a ¨get out of jail free¨ card. Some people would argue by saying that it shows the person’s willingness to help, but I believe that the only thing you’re helping them with is failing to prepare for responsibilities.
College represents something different to everyone. The student will be accountable for attending class, navigating around campus, and obtaining help when needed. Most students are not prepared for the trials of academe and end up feeling overwhelmed. College life can be a hard adjustment.

Some researches admit that violent games may cause adolescents to become tremendous. Studies showed that video games increase psychological awakening, it could also increase aggressive behavior, emotions and thoughts and finally let teenagers lose the sense of helping others. All these effects will be carried by aggressive young people. It’s true that video games are violent, but aggressive adolescents are more likely to be more attracted to it. Some games reward players for doing violent actions, so this will affect them negatively, letting them think that violence is normal.
