Basically, the time period and what they did made them different, but they have more similarities than differences.
Abraham Lincoln, Frederic Douglass, were one of the most appealing well-known speakers, people who did believe that slavery was morally wrong and devote their lives to fight for freedom. However, there are several differences between the view of the Constitution’s position differences between Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass. Kansas-Nebraska Act indicated that the recognition of slavery should be determined by the decision of these residents (popular or squatter sovereignty). This act itself conflicted heavily with the Missouri Compromise was unconstitutional, which was essentially seen as the admittance of slavery anywhere in the country. This act made a political issue of confrontation between North and South.
The Significance of Harriet Tubman and Harriet Beecher Stowe’s involvement in the Underground Railroad (as part of the Abolitionist Movement, 1850-1860) The Underground Railroad is not what it may appear in its most literal sense; it is in fact a symbolical term for the two hundred year long struggle to break free from slavery in the U.S. It encompasses every slave who tried to escape and every free person who helped them to do so. The origins of the railroad are hidden in obscurity yet eventually it expanded into one of the earliest Civil Rights movements in the US.
Harriet Tubman and Mother Jones' dreams and thoughts on equality are very similar but also very different in many ways. They both had similar dreams; they just executed them in very different ways. One difference in the text of Mother Jones, she has plans to make public announcements and walk many miles just to see the president for change. While Harriet Tubman led a series of trails to help slaves escape and see freedom. They are different because Mother Jones ran to someone to get help to stop the inequality.
Finally, in some cases Harriet can be compared to Nat Turner because of how similar they were. Nat Turner was an african american born into slavery just as Harriet was. Both were aggressive abolitionist meaning that they took action for slavery though Turner’s was more aggressive. Although they were both aggressive Harriet never killed anyone over it.
Undoubtedly, Harriet Tubman was the most influential abolitionist of the early to mid-1800s. Born a slave in 1820, Tubman escaped her plantation in 1849, and returned 19 times to rescue over 300 enslaved people. Tubman was called “Black Moses” because she, like Moses of the Old Testament, led her people out of persecution and into freedom. She had narcolepsy (a mental disorder that causes one to fall asleep randomly) but still served as a nurse, a scout, and a spy for the Union during the Civil War.
Human Dignity is perhaps the greatest similarity. They both have endured some sort of prejudice and or violence. Both of their past personal experiences have had an impact on the present government. Both speeches and people appeal to ethics.

As this quote says, our ancestors’ intention for this land was that all humans would be treated the same way; equal. But this world didn’t end up like they wanted.
Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr. were both born 120 years apart. They were also killed ten days apart in the same month, years apart of course. Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King Jr. were one of the biggest influences on Slavery and Civil Rights. As well as being great leaders during their times. Both of these men were similar, but also had their differences.
Similarly, the two politicians had supporters of their cause and people who went against them and strongly opposed the changes they made to the political systems of their individual countries. Another way the two were similar is that they were both assassinated
Frederick Banting created a product like insulin. How Tom Thompson relates to my character is it that we both the had a passion to paint. Tom Thompson did it for living and Frederick Banting did it on his spare time. How they are different is because One contribute to the science and medical aspect of life while Tom Thompson contribute to the culture and entertainment in society. Babe Ruth and Frederick Bantings have very little similarities like they both dealt with people in their everyday lives.
