ISIS and Spain: Are they Similar? Events have occurred recently, so much so that we question when it will stop. The recent events of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant, or ISIL, has threatened many of the national governments, more importantly the United States. The countries around this “state”, such as Libya, Egypt, Syria, and Iraq. These countries are cowering in fear over the massive catastrophes caused by the islamic terrorist group. But we must ask this question… “Is this the 1st time America has been involved in these types of attacks? President Obama’s declaration of war against ISIS is similar the the events of the Spanish-American War of 1898.
Chiefly, the ISIS threats against the Middle-East is indistinguishable to the threats made to Cuba by Spain on April 25, 1898. The Middle-Eastern countries are threatened by the ISIS military and weaponry forces.
