Icarus and Daedalus
There are many roles in the myth “Icarus and Daedalus.” Daedalus and his son Icarus were stuck in a tower, never able to escape. In this story, nature is used to create a strong conflict between it and man. Josephine Preston Peabody, the author of “Icarus and Daedalus” and Wendy A. Shaffer, the poet who wrote “Icarus” both used birds, wind, and sun to tell the myth of Icarus and Daedalus. In the beginning of the story, Daedalus watched the seagulls and plotted his escape.
