Django Unchained vs Inglorious bastards Both Django Unchained and Inglorious Basterds are movies by Quentin Tarantino. Both of them are similar, as both take some of the most gruesome parts of history and shakes them up to make an interesting story. In the following text, we will look at both movies, how they are similar, and what pulls them apart. Django unchained was released in 2012 by Quentin Tarantino. It is based in 1858 where a German bounty hunter, Dr. King Schultz buys a slave named Django. Django will help him find and kill the Brittle Brothers. After killing them, Django and Dr. Schultz seek to find Django’s wife, Broomhilda. They find out she is located in Mississippi and they go to find her. When they arrive in Calvin Candie’s plantation, Candyland, they execute a plan to find and buy Broomhilda. Their plan almost succeeds, but in …show more content…

It all starts with quiet dialogue, but all of a sudden break out into a loud gunfight. This is a similar scene to the one found by Candie’s dining table in Django Unchained, where Candie has figured out their plan, but lets them to sit a little longer as they slowly realize they are in a pinch. There are of course also differences between the movies. While both are fictional based on historical events, Inglorious Basterds shows the death of Hitler and the most important people in the Third Reich, long before they actually fell. Compared to the characters in Inglorious Basterds, Django is up against fictional white men. Because of this, it is easier for us to root for Django’s revenge against the racism. As Quentin Tarantino is done with his sixth and seventh movie, he has shaken up some of the worst events in world history.
