Have you ever wondered what times were like back then? In this paper I’ll be comparing Julius Caesar to Malcolm X. I will be telling you about their life’s comparing one to the other. My source of information came from www.wikipedia.org. Julius Caesar was born, July 13, 100 BC, Rome, Italy When Caesar was only 20 he was captured by pirates and try to sell him off 20 talons of silver but Caesar laughed and demanded that they ask for a respectable 50 talons instead.
Frederick Douglass and Malcom X created some of the most famous African-American pieces to ever be released. They were written to reveal how hard the process of learning to read was back during the slave era. Douglass had a chapter in his narrative ”Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass” called “Learning to Read and Write,” it was written in 1845. Malcolm X’s “Learning to Read,” is an excerpt from,” the Autobiography of Malcolm X“. These two pieces were written more than a century apart yet several common themes can still be identifies.
This is a comparison between two mean one being Julius Caesar an the other Malcolm X. I have chosen Malcolm X because he is pretty much a more modern day Julius Caesar. They both were killed by the same person. Also they were taught to be leaders by others. Julius Caesar was born July 12, 100 BCE in Rome, Italy. He was a Roman politician, a general, and a author.
The social revolutionaries Malcolm X and Fredrick Douglass would most likely have similar points of view due to their experiences being black individuals in a white majority. Frederick Douglass was an African American abolitionist and civil rights activist in the 20th century. He believed in the importance of African Americans in education and spoke out against segregation. On the other hand, Malcolm X felt that African Americans needed to resist oppression and reduce racism. In the excerpt, “Not just an American Problem, but a world problem”, Malcolm X states, “We are living in a society that is by and large controlled by people who believe in racism, and practice segregation and discrimination and racism” (Malcolm X, page 2).

As the title would imply this is an incredibly written tragedy that highlights some of man’s worst personality traits, dirtiest actions, and ugliest betrayals as well as man’s undying softness, fragility, and pride. Malcolm’s approach was less successful because white Americans could say that black people are violent, even though they are just defending themselves. Moreover, Malcolm’s philosophy was similar to that of Booker T. Washington’s. Malcolm tried to establish economic independence, reconnect African Americans with their heritage, and promote African American self determination (Burnett).

He then considered joining the roman military to escape the events taking place at home. Caesar was extremely successful serving in the military, and won multiple awards and medals for his courageous actions.

Their different views may have been rooted from the where they were raised. Martin Luther King Jr. grew up in a middle class family and received a very solid education.

Julius Caesar and Marcus Brutus are both alike because they both have bad flaws, Caesar's determination leads to his death and Brutus' innocence eventually gets him killed. Pursuing this further, these two individuals are both very dependent for themselves. Caesar and Brutus are both honorable men living in Rome and have worrisome wives that love them and would risk their lives for their safety (Applebee 722-728). Nevertheless, Mario and Caesar are also alike because of their personalities and how they like to live. The two love to show their bravery for what they believe should be true and right.

His reign from 49 B.C to 44 B.C illustrated his dominance in controlling a commanding army and ruling a nation. Many historians have different opinions on Caesar's command. Some saw him as a leader for the people, whereas others saw him as a man searching for power and power alone.
