Upon reviewing both novels read in class, you learn of the disadvantages and advantages of going against what the majority is or believes. Both novels show significant roles that specifically go against the majority, by either defending a black man, or killing the beloved leader off a hunch a group of men has. In To Kill A Mockingbird, Atticus Finch shows what it is like to defend a negro in a town of people who believe they are all the same; liars and criminals. Atticus goes against the majority, despite his children getting told off at school, and his own family ready to turn their back on him. “Julius Caesar” differs slightly from To Kill A Mockingbird because Atticus was one man against one community. However, in “Julius Caesar”, it
