Julius Caesar and Abraham Lincoln share many similarities, both men were very alike, but they were also different in many ways. I will be taking you over on some of these details such as; background of their lives, how they were both rulers of their countries and the level of power they manage to gain. These both men are part of today's history and many people still look up to them.

Julius Caesar was born on July 100 BC in Rome. He was a statesman, Roman general, counsel, and a notable author of Latin Prose. He played a significant role that leads to the collapse of the Roman Republic and the rise of the Roman Empire. By age 31, Caesar had fought in several wars and was able to conquer new land with his army at his grasp and command. Caesar made political alliances that helped him rise to power and become a dictator in the Roman world in 48 BC. When Julius Caesar started to acquire more control, many of the senators feared he was an ambitious and a dangerous man. Julius Caesar was assassinated on March 15, 44 BC.
