Two people I chose to compare with Aristotle and Machiavelli are Martin Luther King Jr. and Adolph Hitler. Martin Luther King Jr. was an American Baptist minister and activist who became the leader in the civil rights movement from 1954 until his death in 1968. Adolf Hitler was a German politician who was the leader of the Nazi Party and leader of Nazi Germany from 1934 to 1945. Martin Luther King Jr is in the middle of the graph but is a little closer to Aristotle. King Jr is closer to Aristotle because he did everything for the greater good. Hitler used numerous Machiavellian ideas to win his respective place in Germany's government. Machiavelli believed a prince must seem good but also must slam the hammer down when needed. Hitler made himself look good and he said he can save Germany from their bad times. Everyone in Germany loved Hitler even when his plan included getting rid of every jew. If a person acquires power through fortune the best way to maintain power is to use fear. Hitler’s power evolved through his use of force and fear. Machiavelli says that human nature praises certain qualities and blame others, but there is no way that humans can do all the good things while avoiding the bad thing. Hitler was smart and never got blamed for most of the things he did. Hitler just blamed others. Hitler is like Aristotle in the way that he is persuasive. Adolph Hitler convinced many to join the Nazi Party, during his “Trial for Treason” speech. Anyone who disagreed with Hitler died because no one was allowed power over him. Hitler is also like Henry the V because he wanted to get power anyway he could, even if it was a little bad. He wanted to kill all jews because he hated jews for some weird reason. Many believe he was a jew himself. Hitler was a bad person only wanted power. He thought he could change and rule the world by getting rid of, at first, the jews. Luckily though, he lost the
