Both Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr were civil right leaders who were well respected for their ideas. However, they had differences that would impact the success of their initiatives. Malcolm X had superior solutions for a strong centralized black community and a stable black economy, while King’s ideas made more sense in terms of his nonviolent philosophy and push for an integrated education system. Whiles Martin Luther King, Jr’s idea about blacks and whites together would work in a perfect society,America was far from a perfect society in the 1960s.
Martin Luther King vs. Malcolm X Philosophical Differences In the 1900s, as racism had become more and more apparent, leaders started to rise up in attempt to change society’s opinion which led to and increasing amount of people becoming involved in the Civil Rights Movement. Many had conflicting ideas about how to eliminate racism, and as people became bolder with their beliefs, different strategies started to emerge. Two ideas among many were the main tactics used to convince people that segregation should be stopped. These two ideas were sprung from the minds of two different men, Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X. When equal rights were not established, protests and marches were the major uses of displaying indignation towards racism.
Rhetorical Analysis Essay Prompt: Malcolm X and Martin Luther King The year of 1963 was controversial for the reason that African-Americans were segregated and activist leaders such as Malcolm X and Martin Luther King had different ideas of reforming against the social norms of that time. While Malcolm X and MLK were both human rights activists, they had different approaches towards reform movements. MLK and Malcolm X both use rhetorical techniques such as anaphora and allusion to convey the purposes of their speeches that address mainly African Americans. MLK and Malcolm X were African Americans who were activist leaders for human rights.
Both of these political leaders were succesful in leading economic improvements for the African American in the 1960's. Martin Luther King jr. led succsesful boycotts and marches for the better treatment of his people, and led to real change that has lasted to this present day. Malcome X advocated for African Americans to take charge of their own economy and put money back into their own econmy that they have created. There are good ideas and policies from both leaders but history proves that King's way of improving is longerlasting and more in inclusive than what Malcome X advocated and heres why.

The dictionary defines revolution as a forcible overthrow of a government or social order in favor of a new system but also claims that revolution is a dramatic and wide reaching change in the way something works or is organized or in peoples ideas about it. Revolution is the idea that you can bring about change in order to fulfill your rights as a human being. Over the course of history there is been many revolutions, such as the American Revolution.
Philosophical differences between martin luther king and malcolm X The philosophical differences between Martin Luther King and Malcolm X have to do with the their protest strategies. MLK never fought with violence. Although he would get physically attacked, he stood his ground and continued to fight for equality peacefully. King believed that whites and blacks should come together to end the hate and violence.
Martin Luther King’s string of peaceful protests against the self-thought superior white race is what earned him the Nobel Peace Prize, Malcolm X spit hot fire against the white man’s oppression on African Americans, stating that they were blocking the path in civil rights progression. Both public figures fought for the same goal of equal treatment and opportunity, but the actions taken by this duo to reach this goal were anything but the same. When you have two ingenious men battling for the same cause, progression is bound to happen, another given is one will stride farther than the other, and in this case that’s exactly what Malcom X did. Before, during, and after these two years the United States was a place where racial equality was inexistent. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X were pioneers in bringing attention to this issue. Both men wrote letters and released them to the public, one from a jail cell and another recited his letter in a church.
The leadership style of Martin Luther King Jr. earned him to be recognized as the face of the Civil Rights movement. Therefore, Malcolm X should have changed his leadership style to work with Martin Luther King Jr. because his way of fighting for civil rights was strategically thought out and ultimately effective. Martin Luther King Jr. was an American Baptist minister and activist who became the most visible spokesperson and leader in the Civil Rights movement. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Reverend Martin Luther King Sr. and Alberta Williams King. Martin Luther King Jr. came from a line of pastors in his family, and from the beginning, he was on his way to becoming one himself (Martin Luther King Jr.).

He was foremost a civil rights activist throughout the 1950s and 1960s. during his lifetime, which lasted from January of 1929 to April of 1968, Martin Luther King Jr. was an American Baptist minister and a social activist and was known for his non- violent protests. He believed that all people, no matter the color, have a moral responsibility to break unjust laws and to take a direct action rather than waiting forever for justice to come through and finally be resolved. In the Spring of 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. stated in a speech that Birmingham was among one of the most segregated cities in the world.
Malcolm X and Martin Luther King Jr. were two of the most prominent American Civil Rights Movement figures. While both men had similar goals of achieving racial equality and ending segregation, they had different approaches and philosophies that set them apart. The men had contrasting ideas when it came to fighting for racial equality. Martin Luther King’s philosophies made more sense than Malcolm X’s philosophies, because King believed in working together and nonviolence protests to change the minds of the white society. Certainly, both heroes had the courage to sacrifice for black people with extreme power to resist the racism in the past using various ways. It is clear that the two heroes met their ambitions, but Mandela made bigger change worldwide and he was inspirational leader with severe willingness to fight for justice. Nelson Mandela and Martin King lived many similar situations which led to their great effort.
